Privacy Policy — Smart NotebookLM Importer
Smart NotebookLM Importer is a browser extension published by Antigravity Studio.
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Short version: your content stays yours. Pages, highlights, and transcripts are processed on your device and saved only to your own Google NotebookLM account when you ask for it. We run no analytics and we never sell your data.
1. What data the extension handles
1.1 Content you choose to import
When you import an article, a text selection, or a YouTube transcript, the page content is extracted and converted to clean Markdown locally in your browser. If you then confirm an import, that content is transmitted directly to your own Google NotebookLM account so it can be saved as a notebook source. Content is never sent to servers operated by us.
1.2 Pro license information (optional)
If you purchase and activate a Pro license, the extension sends your license key together with a randomly generated device ID (a random identifier created locally in your browser) over HTTPS to our license proxy — a Cloudflare Worker — which forwards it to Creem.io, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, to activate and periodically re-validate (approximately once a week) your purchase. This happens only when you enter a license key or when the extension re-checks an existing one. This information is used for nothing else. Payments are completed entirely on Creem.io checkout pages; the extension never sees your payment card details.
1.3 Settings and counters
Your preferences (default import mode, destination notebook, tab-switch behavior) and your daily import counter are stored locally in your browser. The daily counter and the cached license status are also copied into the extension's storage on NotebookLM pages within your own Google account. The extension collects no analytics, telemetry, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
2. How data is used
All handling of data is strictly limited to providing the extension's single purpose: importing the content you choose into your NotebookLM notebooks, and validating an optional Pro license purchase.
3. What is shared
- Google NotebookLM — content you explicitly import is saved to your own Google account and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Creem.io — your license key and device ID are processed by Creem.io for purchase verification, governed by Creem's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — the license proxy runs on Cloudflare Workers; those requests transit Cloudflare's infrastructure.
We never sell user data and never transfer it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's functionality.
4. Security
All data transmitted off your device is sent over HTTPS/TLS. License data is only cached locally (and in the storage described above) to support offline use.
5. Retention and deletion
Local settings, counters, and license cache are removed when you uninstall the extension or clear its storage. License records held by Creem.io can be deleted on request using the contact email below. Content you imported into NotebookLM belongs to your Google account and can be managed or deleted there at any time.
6. Limited Use disclosure
The extension's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension's single purpose and user-facing features; it is not sold or transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide those features (the Creem.io license check described above); it is never used or transferred for personalized advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness purposes; and no human reads your data.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
